Sean Denham

Executive summary

Sean Denham holds multiple national and regional leadership roles for Grant Thornton. Most notably, he serves as the firm’s regional managing partner for the Atlantic Coast, which includes offices in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Baltimore and Washington, D.C. In this role, Sean has the privilege of leading an exceptional team of high-performing individuals in multiple geographies as they provide top-tier accounting, advisory and tax services for Grant Thornton’s clients. Sean also serves as the firm’s Audit growth leader and as the national Special Purpose Acquisition Company (SPAC) leader. Finally, as an Audit partner of the firm, Sean serves some of Grant Thornton’s most prominent clients, including public and private companies in the professional services industries.

Prior to his current role, Sean held several regional leadership roles, which included serving as the market managing partner for the firm’s Philadelphia office. He also served as assistant managing partner for Grant Thornton’s New York cluster and as Audit practice leader for the Northeast region. Additionally, Sean previously served as the national partner for Professional Standards, which involved solving the most complex accounting, auditing, and risk management matters for clients nationwide.

Community involvement

• Sean serves on the CEO Council for Growth, an initiative of the Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce dedicated to enhancing economic growth and prosperity in the 11-county region across Northern Delaware, Southern New Jersey and Southeastern Pennsylvania. Sean is also heavily involved in the civic community and formerly served as a board member and treasurer for the Greater Philadelphia Alliance for Capital and Technologies (PACT). He also served as a cabinet member of the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey.

• Sean is a Certified Public Accountant and earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Lehigh University.
